What are flextales?

Flextales, are polyhedron paper puzzles, that are constructed by folding strips of paper. Flextales can rotate, when the outer points are pushed to the center, revealing the polygon's multiple faces.

At St Johns Park High School, students create a specific flextale, hexaflexagons, which is constructed from congruent equilateral triangles. Flextales allow students to physically visualise, investigate and analyse the attributes of geometric
3-dimensional figures.
Furthermore, it gives students a chance to draw connections between subjects such as, arts, engineering, mathematics and technology, to solve problems.

It is a fun and fascinating way to display your favourite photos, whilst challenging yourself.
